TR6 U-joints

Hello All,
I'm doing some work on the rear of my '73 TR6. I greased the U-joints and the grease oozed between the knuckles. Is that right?
Thanks,
Bill

Bill, That's enough, generally just listen for the first pop and the needles will be full. Did you give the sliding axle a good clean and new grease?

Bill, Things will last a lot longer now. Oh, on the grease gun, if you are doing it by hand, generally speaking you should feel the gun getting hard to squeeze then it's full, as the pop you hear is a seal being pushed open a bit. If you still have the axles out, give the seals a quick look and see it any look sideways and use a screwdriver to push it up in place.
Good job.

Wayne
