type-9 conversion thread

I'm hoping someone can provide me with a link to an old thread I found on this site related to a type 9 gearbox installation in a spit or GT6. I'm specifically looking for one which I recall had a good amount of detail and pictures concerning the process necessary to shorten the gearshift selector and housing. I had hoped to have Canley classics provide a shortened gearshift input, but after a phone call to them today I found out that they are "weeks, if not months behind on such orders." I have a transmission specialist here in Maryland who is willing to do the work, provided I can give him some assistance in terms of instruction and precious examples.

Many thanks.
