Used planes for sale - cheap. Anyone remember the "Reconstruction Finance Corporation"?

(too bad I'm a few years late for the sale)

At the end of WWII, you could buy Stearmans at $700.00 each. Around $500.00 ea if you bought them in lots of 10 and some were brand new, most with low time. Today 80 to a 100 grand will get you one. In 1946, $700.00 was a lot of money.
I bought mine in 1965 for $6,500.00. Today it's worth 90 grand. I sold it a few years ago.

I'll take a few.

We can start a flight school. Who has an Instructor's ticket?

Or is Instructor a rating? I get that mixed-up.

If we could get some BT-13s, we could take the engines off and stick 'em on the Stearmans. Makes a jim-dandy Ag plane. We'll just push the engineless hulks out behind the Hangar. I hear there's lots of money to be made in crop-dusting!
