It warmed up a bit so thought I would start on engine assembly.

Woops wrong crank shaft, off to return this and pick up the correct one. Sigh 30 mile trip. Nice guy, gave me a couple of those K&M red blankets to cover things while I am working, always wanted some of those.

Home, and installed the crank, everything clean and I mean clean. End float right on spec with standard bearings. Wheeee. Spins nicely, good start, more to follow.

Kind of ran out of steam at that point, tomorrow is another day. Pistons as soon as it warms up.

Sounds good!

BTW - Aren't you in FL? How cold could it be? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Tis 50 right now.

Was fine mid day up about 60 or a bit.

Tomorrow is supose to be colder but then the next week is supose to be in the low 70s.

Yep! A chilly 60* here at 9:30 am!!! COLD! for Fl.!! Should get OK by noon again though!

Pistons in but not torqued and locked yet, soon.

Engine turns over nicely so all feels good so far.

Well Jack, I think the glow of satisfaction over another task that has gone well should be enough to heat you up for the rest of the day. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
