Red one is a 66, owners are here from La. to help reassemble it and take it home. ..its Ruby Red. Zenith Blue one is one I sold to an old geezer...retired Airborne Col. Everyone has to pitch in to get their cars done as I have many more in various stages of prep. lining up to the Booth. Two more Ruby Red ones by the end of the week-end...a 65 and a 63.

you might even say he's bug infested :jester:

The 66 Ruby Red one is now back in Shrevport..trailer back by owners yesterday. Runs great...needs new interior installed but all in all not bad from being a sanded down empty shell to a painted sealed up running, drivable bug from Monday to saturday evening..the blue one gets the last bits...tail lites, lics. plate lite holder and a few other things today. Then owner takes it to his shop for all new custom interior. Today I'm painting a 65 Bug...also Ruby Red. Then later this week a 63 Bug..can you guess the color??

Shreveport - my home town!

Good lookin' bugs, Jack!

Oh, and I had a '63 sunroof way back when - white with kinda orange interior. Had a blast with that car!

Hope ya got a quantity discount for all that Ruby paint, Jack!!! :jester:

DID get a good deal...from PPG. I'll have some extra and may use it on a pair of Harleys I may pick up this morning....A guy wants my 77B and said he'd trade straight across for the pair. Don't need them....but they do sell very well. Son is willing to come on board and help strip and custom paint them for me.

A Twofer?!?!

Those things have a big audience! Sounds like a no-brainer if ya have some help.

I got caught looking for the punch line!

Nice paint jobs!

...one says to th' other: "Man!! You're lookin' all RED an' stuff... an' I'm seein' TWO of ya! *HIC* "

Izzat any help? :smirk:

By noon today(wed) the 65 should be shot and tehn I can concentrate on the 63 on the rack that needs a new front apron and a couple of fender cracks repaired...and a few minor dings scattered around. Then the finish sanding and prep to paint. Since I'm on a roll I may actually try to fit my A coupe in there someplace.

sounds like a challenge that can't be back down from!

Jack, I thought you retired. Man can you just think what he turned out when he was working.

I'm taking in no more work..these are cars that have been stashed and neglected due to numerous problems. Four or five have been completed and delivered in the past month....five or six in work. Bays are full...ambition is empty but force myself to work. The MGs will probaly all be sold off or scrapped as well as most of the other projects. My 911 will go on the block today and as soon as I can gather up the last few bits, my 65 Mustang will be advertised. Every other day or so I back into the shop and pile parts on and drive to the recyclers or fill all the dumpsters in the area. I hesitate dumping my 57 A coupe as I've been buying parts like a drunken sailor...but it to will probaly go as well as my CGTs.
