As some of you know, to assist in paying for the expense of a decent dedicated server, and sufficient dedicated bandwidth, I have started to offer Web Hosting service here (as well as personal service in setting things up) only to members who have British Car-related sites that are strictly non-commercial. ChrisS was the Guinea Pig who set up his site www.spridget-tech.com on the BCF server, and so far it seems to be running fine.

Well, now we have another fine British Car site on the BCF server, and that is member budk1953's site www.budsbritishgarage.com What is different about buds site is that he is using teh Front Page extensions to publish his site. So, while I personally don't use Front Page, the server hosting package I have will allow me to install Front Page extensions so you can, if you choose, use Front Page to both design your site as well as upload/publish the site on the server.

Also, I can add extras to your site such as a real nice guest book and other cool stuff.

So, if you're interested, PM me for details.

I'd encourage anyone looking for a hosting site to consider this. I started my site with one of the dozens of bargain hosts out there and it worked, but there was zero support. When I changed to hosting on the BCF server Basil was very helpful and gave me some great suggestions to make the site better. I know zero html code and I was able to do it so it isn't a stretch to think that you can do it as well.

Do we have a place for hosted sites here?

Not yet, but that's something I plan to do. Just not sure yet where it will go.

Good deal Basil, I get up early and try to get ahead of you but dosn't seem to work. Guess I'll start sleeping in.

I made a wise decision to have BCF host my site. Using Front Page made it very easy on me to build what I wanted but without Basil's personal help during the process it would have never been done. You will never get the support any where else that BCF offers during the design and set-up of your site. Great guestbook too.
If you have any questions about the process feel free to PM me.

I say put a link to hosted sites right up front on the top next to the Union Jack!
