Oy! I'm going to be sleeping on the couch.
Last night I purchased my 2nd 1972 TR6.. This is 10 days after I bought the first TR6 I've had in 16+ years.
This is one I had seen in a guy's garage about a year ago and was never able to get him to let me look at it. It's got plenty of bondo and the clutch plates are stuck, but it's got new redlines and a rebuilt engine (top end and bottom end), plus a lot of little parts I need for the other car.
Here's my question: What do you think about swapping engines? I'd take the rebuilt engine and put it into the better car, and place the unrebuilt engine in the lesser car.
Big job? I swapped engines on a Spitfire 25 years ago but I'm not sure I'm up for a job like that.
If I farm it out, what should I expect to pay?
