TWIN SU choke

I have a 1970 1275 with twin SU's. The previous owner disconnectedthe choke cable before storage and I need to reconnectit. Does any body have a detailed picture of where the cable is attached. I hav elooked at many parts illustrations, but none really show me where the single cable attaches. The cable comes fromthe firewall and there is no bracket to route the cable towards the carbs, so if I connect the cable to the linkage at the base of the carbs, and pull the choke it is at 90 degree angle from direction of motion on the carbs. This does not seem right. Here is a picture of the carbs.

On the right hand carb (rear carb) there is a brass tube sticking up. I saw it. The cable runs thru that tube.
On the choke linkage you will need a cable stop. It goes thru the hole in the link and the cable feeds thru the stop, tighten up the screw thru the link into the cable and it's done.

Hopefully the attached picture will help. It's a picture of my setup (I hope it's right!).

Thanks guys I saw the tube as well but only had 5 minutes tonight, my son Curtis was all over the place (he is 4). I thought the tube was closed off, but I will look closer on saturday. This car has sat for 18 months properly stored and I just bought it, brought it to my brother in laws big garage tonight. Saturday is the day to put it together to make sure it runs, do the brakes and finish the sanding started by the previous owner. I hope to have it on the road for 17 june.

Hey Kurtis! I picked up a set of used SU's once that had a hole worn in it from a metal choke cable like that. If it is rubbing you might want to put a small bit of rubber hose around it.

Small piece of heat shrink works really well.
