Got two more freebie Escorts (including one with the correct 5 speed...this one was an automatic).
Now running with cage and 5-speed in (Whew!).

What class are you aiming for or is this a EMRA car?
 
ST4 (which is sort of like ITB in SCCA).
The 1.8 twin cam engine has about 130 HP stock, so it will run against Miatas...but that's OK. I'm just out there to have fun.
This second-gen fwd Escort is really a Mazda Protege under the skin and the engine is basically a Miata engine.

I also have an entire spare car with the 8-valve engine (1.9 liter with 88 HP), but I'm not likely to use it.
I'm already enjoying the smokey burnouts in my driveway with the twin cam....I may be hooked on horsepower /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif
 
best part of this lug is you can pick up the wife's shopping from the local market between races.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
