'Twas the Night Before Christmas - LBC Style

Being Jewish, Christmas doesn't really have the same kind of meaning. I'll probably spend a few hours in the garage tinkering with the Sprite. This little ditty starting popping into my head, so I took a few minutes to jot it down and expound on it. Feel free to add your own stanzas to it.

Twas the night before Christmas, And all one could see
Was one man working late at night, On his LBC

The children were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of the Victoria British Catalog danced in his head
His wife in her nighties was not a distraction
For the car in his garage held all the attraction,

The battery disconnected and The fluids were drained
ā€œTime to get to workā€ To his family he explained
So he broke out his wrenches, Both standard and metric
And he had a circuit tester, For anything electric

When he fired up the motor, there arose such a clatter
It was probably unsynchrozined carbs that was the matter
Under the hood he dove quite quick
To adjust those SU carbs was always a trick

His car was a driver, so lively and quick
He knew in a moment how to shift with the stick
More rapid than eagles, his car would acclaim
And he thought no other car was the same:

Now Austin, Now Sunbeam, Now MG & Jaguar
On Triumph, On Rover, On Lotus & TVR
To the top of the road, to the top of the street
Now Drive away, drive away an LBC can’t be beat

That took some thought.--Keoke---:applause:
