TVR Diff Question

Hi Guys,

Jumping in from the Triumph Forum as I have been requested to ask as question of you from a Neighbour of mine who owns a couple of 1970's Ford Capris.

I own a TR6 and a TR3A but I have to admit that I know very little about the TVR's so this question may seem a little strange.

My friend with the Capris is looking for a LSD Diff for one of his Capris. He was told to look at the diff's in the TVR's as a possible option for a swap.

As stated previously, I know very little about the TVR but was wondering if there is a common diff that you use or are there options on the market (like the nissan diff for the tr6)for upgrades that would have the LSD?

Looking forward to your replies.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

As far as I know the only TVRs with limited slip (hereafter referred to as "powerloc")in the US market anyway, used the jaguar salisbury diffs. I cannot imagine the center section from one of those fitting a capri I could well be wrong. The Jag powerloc units are plentiful, being fitted to E types, all V12 cars, and some others. If you/they are in the US try "team blitz", or rapido, as they specialize in euro Ford parts.

Hope this helps
