OK...I'm never surprised anymore by the types of TV commercials nowadays...but setting here on the BCF while listening to the tube...this ones' for our fellow female BCF'ers.......

A commercial that just ended with HAVE A HAPPY PERIOD is kinda like a mens AD for prostrate enlargement that ends ENJOY YOUR EXTRA TOILET TIME!!!

I feel a reprimand coming!!!!

Almost, my friend.....almost!

I agree with you about some of the inane copywriting that goes on. Doesn't anyone with common sense get to proof-read some of this stuff before they put it out there?

What's next?

"Have a happy migraine"

"Toothache....Don't you wish that you could share in the pleasure?"

Good or bad, disgusting or not, you just proved their point! You remembered it! The secret of good advertising.

There is no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary.
Brendan Behan
Irish author & dramatist (1923 - 1964)

Mark Twain rather enjoyed his first set of obituaries.

Likewise Truman was not in the least bit disappointed when "Dewey defeats Truman" was published.
