MGB Turn signals on 78 MGB

I would really appreciate a check list to go through to find out why my recently departed turn signals decided to pack it in. I have checked fuse and installed new flasher but to no avail. Hmmmm..
 
start with grounds.
 
Check wiring in column behind switch.
