TR5/TR250 Turn Signal Wont Blink

My turn signal switch broke last week (mechanically, the post that it pivots on simply broke off), got a replacement though the wiring colors didn't match, but I belive I have it wired right. Continuity at the switch tests out appropriately.

Everything worked before it broke, now I get a steady left turn signal light when I switch it to the left, but no blink, and nothing when I go with the right. Could it be wired wrong? Looked at the flasher unit, it appeared to be ok.

Do I risk frying something if I swap the wires around? Any thought on other possible problems?

Figured it out, had the switch wiring figured out, but hooked to hooked to the wrong wire under the dash, all good now, sometimes you need to take a step back and think.

The new switch ($25 ebay special) self cancels, the old one, which was a rwpacement feom one of the big three, never did.
