Turn Signal Gremlin

Both turn signals quit flashing thsi past weekend on a trip to the coast. Indicators burn but no flash. Hazard flashers work fine and all bulbs OK. Was thinking it is the flasher. What do you think?

maybe the switch or the relay??

Fairly sure t.s. flasher unit is seperate from hazard flasher. Change it.

It'll be the flasher!! I don't know where it is on your year, but this is not an MGB only problem!! It happens all the time!! On a '66 it is behind the glove box!!

Another possibility if the aforementioned (and most likely cause) doesn't fix it. I had the same problem, flashers were fine, turned out the hazard rocker switch was bad and causing the turn signals to stop working as well. Apparently causing some voltage bottleneck. Works fine now

good luck

Thanks for all the tips. Gary,on my 1970 I found the flasher behind the console and a bunch of wires. It is actually very close to several switches on the console, so I am going to check and make sure the contacts are not touching any other switch contacts.

They stopped on Dad's B as well, and it turned out to be the turn signal switch...plus a lot of monkeyed up wiring!

Where exactly is the Turn Signal Flasher Unit located on the 1977 MGB? My lights work except the turn signal. The bulbs and contacts are fine.
