My 67 has a floor mounted high beam switch and I want to use the newer turn signal switch as it's faster and easier, but the idea of the horn operating from the turn signal switch is just nuts imo, can i hook up one of the newer switches, and just not connect the horn, leaving the horn on the wheel?

"Just ignore the horn wires in the stalk"

Or do what I did with the headlight flasher wires on the turn signal switch - hook it up to the wipers so you can flick the wipers on for a single swipe whenever you want it (not tremendously useful in Southern California, but a great help in Western Washington state).
Cheers,
