Trying out a camera mount...

... for an old DV camcorder. OK except for the wind noise drowning out the engine sounds, and I need to adjust the angle.

Just a leisure drive (no real excitement ... no fast corners)

That's a pretty good angle. I really like the ghost key floating in the air.

If your camera has a mic jack, you may consider plugging an external mic that you mount under the dash or some other non-windy place.

The camera didn't pick up wind noise when it was in the midget, and it is so close to the windscreen in the sprite that I'm surprised how loud it is. I'm wondering if air is coming under the windscreen frame seal.

I bet the exhaust note sounds great against those rock faces in the corners.

John, I can not hear the blower on my car. Can you hear the blower on your MGB?

Yeah, I can really hear it sucking in air, everytime I hit the throttle. And when I floor it and it starts to go, you can hear a slight whine.

Awesome ride through the country! Thanks for the tour! Some foam over the mike might dampen the wind noise!

I drove about 120 miles yesterday. I went looking for "good" roads to travel in the area of our next local Healey Club meeting. I found one little unlined road that has just been paved. It has small dips and turns. Going 40 mph it felt like a roller coaster. Great fun until I started getting motion sick!

Thanks! That was fun to watch. I like the angle you used.
Seeing Frogeyes sticking out was cool. Nice road for a drive too.
BTW, the camera you turned me on to came in today, a day early.
Once again thanks for the tip.

I have a friend with the gopro camera. He loves it and I have dibs on it when he upgrades.

Kinda fuzzy, but that might be at the top of the Iroquois Park.

Oh my word Trevor, that stop sign was well worth the price of addmission.

What a beautiful sound.

Congratulations.

Man, I wish we had some roads like that nearby. This is a very urban area, and it just isn't right for a Bugeye. I can drive down the coast occasionally, which is fun but a little more variety would be nice. These cars were born for the kind of road in your video.

Tom, there has not been traffic allowed at the overlook since the late 70's (I think). And I'm pretty sure that photo was taken before the tornadoes tore through there. Thanks for sharing.

Steve, there are only a few roads near me like the ones in the video. I need to travel about 60 miles before I can find an abundance of those roads. I'd love to be near a coast or small mountain range.
