Many, many thanks to Tim Nagy ( Morspeed Performance) for hosting this on his personal site as I couldn't figure out how to attach a Power Point slide show here.

Click on the URL below. When it comes up DOUBLE click on the front page and then continue to double click each image in turn to motor through the slide show.

You have nothing to fear but fear itself, or maybe a failing tie rod end or a single circuit brake system! LOL

Two words, NO WAY.

I watched a tv show about that road... those going up have to pull aside for the ones going down (or back up until there is somewhere to pull over). A few locals flag some of the blind corners red or green to let the drivers know if it's clear or not. Not anyplace I'd like to go right now.

uhmmmm... no thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif scary road that be!

That's the one.

Maybe some kind of 'Tunnel' would be useful.
There were buses in them pics, with luggage on the roofs, leading me to believe they was also full of people.
Er, I'll take a aisle seat? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Looks like fun, for someone who is totally insane! What some people will do to earn a living. WoW! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gifpj

HILL CLIMB!!

An old Group B car alone on that road would absolutly scare the HECK outta me.....on the other hand me in a pair of Kids standing real close to the uphill side would make me very nervous also. Man-o-man!

Just an FYI.
There is show on the History Channel tonight at 10pm Central called "Death Road", all about this road in Bolivia.

Believe it or not I have traveled this road. When I was 10 my mother and her boyfriend decided to pull me & my sister out of school and drive from Whitestone NY to Mendoza Argentina. The journey lasted 4 months and we did it in a 1974 Pontiac Firebird. Being 10 I still remember a few good stories that happened to me. I remember traveling this road and getting stuck in the mud. Villagers had to come to out rescue & push us out several times before we made it down the mountain. We met up with a couple guys who had a earlier year Pontiac Formula and we drove with each other for about a week.
