True Story

Depending on which side of the fence you are I found this to be quite a great story.

A young friend of mine in his early twenties, had been looking for and finally found a Porsche Boxter which was on eBay and also happened to be in his town. When visiting the dealership selling the car, the salesman made oodles of promises which this very smart person made the salesman sign.

After the sale the dealership could not keep those promises and with signed paper in hand the dealership was obligated to make all kinds of other agreements such as extended warrantees, free services and oil changes for many years.

Then he noticed that the car did not have a CD player which the eBay ad said did. The dealership claimed this was not true and after an hour of arguing the dealership finally wrote a refund check for the value of the CD player.

I was certainly impressed with his fortitude in making the dealership live up to its promises and he has a great car.

Re: True Stpry

done the same thing but to not such an extant..good for your friend for sticking it to such a greedy salesperson..if more customers would only do that the salespersons would not lie so much and the dealerships that hire them would not condone this type of salesmanship...would make for a much more pleasant buying experance (from an x car salesman) never liked the atmosphere that the managment would encourage...

Hehe, now if only we could do the same sort of thing to military recruiters.
