Find a mid 60s International. They are virtually indestructible and very reliable little pick-ups. If you are looking for alot of creature comforts though, one may not be a good choice as the heater was a factory option up untill 69. As for resale value, you should have no problems getting back what you put into one.
 
That white Dodge PU looks a lot like my Dodge Sport...5.9L V8 (390cu in) with tow package & all the toys....& its the happiest at 70mph with a trailer hauling an MG behind it! Uphill!
