I just connected the battery following a full restoration on my Healey Pretty much everything is new or rebuilt. New Moss wiring harness. The turn signals not working. Just started working thru the system. So far it appears the switch in the steering wheel is working. Since I really don't know how the flasher relay works any advice on checking this out this component and the system in general would be appreciated.

Ok. The box basically diverts power from the brake lite to the flasher. I just had to replace a new unit with another one.
You should have power between the flasher and the box at terminal 8. Check the flasher for power from the fuse box to the x terminal.

Thanks. Here's an update: Did a little more checking (Definitely not done)
  1. I have power from the fuse to the correct terminal on the flasher. It's a new one from Moss.
  2. Have power to the input to the steering column turn signal switch, actuating the turn signal switch does send power to the correct terminals on the relay box.
  3. I took out the new Moss flasher and put my old one back in. At this point I got the right front to flash but not the left front. Both rear lights flashed.
  4. I had to quit for a meeting at this point, will get back on it on Thursday.
  5. Suggestions welcome.

Finally got back to checking out the system. ( my deck resurface turned into a full rebuild). With a little more checking I found the problem pretty quickly. I had tied both RH & LH circuits together in the trunk. I misinterpreted the wiring diagram and use a double bullet connector, should have used two single connectors. Oh well, all’s well that ends well.

Glad you sorted it. Sometimes it’s good to walk away and come back to it at a later date.
I don’t always have that luxury.
