Trouble inserting pictures to post

I’m trying to add some photos to a post. I uploaded the pictures ok and the thumbnails show in the Manage Attachments page. However when I try to drag them down to the Attachments box, they don’t stay there, and the Insert Online box shows (0). What am I doing wrong? BTW I am using an iPad in case that matters.
