For those of you that like to look at picture of Triumphs, I was out today and snapped a few I thought I'd share. There was a nice show at the historic Brooklands race course / museum for Standard-Triumph cars. Nice variety of cars from the last TR to the earliest, and good weather to boot.

Some highlights:
TS2, the 2nd TR2

4VC, an original works TR4

A bunch of other shots are in the following album:

Hope you like them, I had a great time.

Back in the day, I went to tech college at Weybridge, near Brooklands, to learn me 'ow to b a aer crft michanick.

Great Triumph pics and nice to see the old Iron Duck (VC10) again. A lot of aviation history there from when we used to have an aircraft manufacturing industry.

I've walked up that test hill before. Its steeper than it looks in the photos. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Nice to see Neil get 4VC out to shows once in a while.

The Dolomite with the Waterfall grill is pretty cool too.

Great cars, really got my juices flowing, funny though, all the steering wheels are on the wrong side, Heh.

Hi Shawn-

Actually 4VC isn't one of Neil's. This one is owned by Ian Cornish, who I think has had it since the late 60's. It was the only Rally car not exported out of the UK.

Randy

Thanks for taking the time to post the link. A lot of nice cars and history there.

My bad then, I thought Neil owne a couple of the works rally TR4's. Thought 4VC was one of them.

Neil does have at least one of the rally cars, maybe two, I'm not sure how many(3VC, 6VC?). Just not that one!

Not sure if I'd ever like rallying in person, but as a bystander those rally setups are very slick - made me want to buy all sorts of stuff that I can't afford.

Thanks for the pictures of the early TR2's. The oval door pocket on TS2 kinda surprised me as my TS1203lo's is not like that at all.

The black TR2 with the Blackberry interior is pretty rare.
