My friend Dave drove his restored ( fully restored) 67 TR4A to Atlanta for the Mitty this year (even though Nissan was the highlight) and attracted a ton of attention. Crowds would gather wherever he went. Dave did this car right, not a nut nor bolt unrestored. And BRG with overdrive yet. Much better car that the J-B car that sold for $97K. Anyway, on the grounds of the show, Dave had some serious offers pressing hard on $30K. These guys were serious, still calling him to reconsider! Not for sale, says Dave.
I don't think this is really affecting the price of "restorable" cars, only finished ones. Finished nicely.

Are you saying I shoulden't be parting out my 66 TR4a solid axle?

I drove my '93 Jimmy to the Mitty. No one offered to buy mine? I thought about driving the TR6, but I can't fit the camping gear in it. Plus it was supposed to rain.
I must have missed your friends TR4. There were not nearly as many British cars as last year. I did see a Datsun 510 with a Lexus V8.
