Hello, well i originally got introduced to the BCF through a search for my long lost 67 Tiger. Found her and assisted the new owner with project but apparently was more than he had accounted for and sold her...so now on to new things. My son is looking for a new project car and seems interested in a Triumph TR-6. I had one a brand new 1974 with AC even! My cousin had purchased his 74 TR-6 a year before and actually was searching for a GT-6 and found the 74 at a GMC dealership in Fort Bragg, NC. Bought the car and my cousin was shocked when i drove up in an exact copy of his TR-6. Our cars were manufactured 3 months apart and we had a blast with them. Cruising down the interstate side by side the exhaust echo would resonate back and forth as if in a twin engine plane it was so incredible and habit forming. we would spread aprat and pass others evenly just to here the exhaust tones. However my TR-6 after only 8 months was totaled when i loaned it to a friend for the weekend. He hit a Torino pulling a boat! Totaled the TR-6, the boat, the boat trailer, the Torino and went through a brick wall hitting a double-wide mobile home and knocking it off the foundation in the end. My insurance agent was thrilled!
Anyway, my cousin used to follow me in my Tiger before i sold it and was always fascinated at the exhaust as it would spit blue flames out the twin chrome resonators whenever i downshifted and used the engine for braking. Amazing car i looked for it for years and was hoping to have a chance to own her again.
So now years later my son is looking for a TR-6 to rebuild and i am excited to be helping him. Maybe he will let me upgrade it to a V-8?? Hopefully. GT
