A few years ago, I met the owner of this TR4A snd we became friends. It had been his dad's car before. Cut to last year, cancer took the owner. I have stayed in touch with his wife, and she has come to the conclusion that it needs a new home. The car has had an amateur restoration done and of course has a few imperfections. It is a solid driver, and you would not be embarrased to take it to any show.
I have no financial interest in the car, but I would like to see her get a fair price. If interested, I can email pictures.
My "expertise" runs more to MGs, but I have had a few Triumphs. I'm guessing it is in the $11000-12000 range, maybe more, maybe less. Sale is not urgent, but this is the time of year the car needs to be out and driven.
I'll try to get something posted in the trader forum in the next day or two.
Thanks for any help. I posted on triumphexperience, but that one seems a little slower than this forum.

If anyone wants to call me with questions, that is OK too, I will email my phone number. I currently have vertigo and typing is a little tough.

Re: Triumph TR4A IRS FS. Need help with this one.

Cliff, good photos of the car would really help us to determine a price for you.

$12,000 should fetch a decent example with little or no rust and good mechanicals, generally speaking.

Give us some pictures, we'll let you know. :yesnod:

I have a bunch of pictures and need to get them posted. I have driven the car. Steve went through all the machanicals during the restoration, and he was a good mechanic. Car runs strong and is very dependable. Issues would be door alignment needs to be addressed. It has a few stone chips, but no rust issues. It has always been a fair weather car. Like I said, I'm sort of out of the loop on Triunphs, hence the request for help. Most important thing is that is goes to someone that will appreciate it and enjoy it.

If you get the pictures up on a site like Flickr or something, you can post a $ sale in the Classifieds here as well. I am sure someone would take good care of it!
