My father bought the car new. Was in a garage for many decades. Painted, surrey hardtop, sound mechanical and electrical.

I inherited the car and am thinking about selling it. Would like to find out a price range.

Collector car insurer, Hagerty, has a valuation tool on its website. This should help you (at least it'll get you started).

Surrey hardtop, if in good condition may add $2000.

Keep in mind--Hagerty's prices are for insurance purposes, so they tend to be a bit on the high side. I like to use them, but temper them with a scan of completed sales on eBay and Bring a Trailer.

Also, remember, if it has been in storage for decades, it's probably not really sound mechanically. It will need some work to get it roadworthy.

Here's a look at 188 TR4/TR4A's that went "across the block" on Bring-A-Trailer...

It has been to the shop. It's ready to drive. Smile

"Sports cars will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times
of no sports cars."( to mangle an old saying). Money has no soul and is soon expended. If my dad had
left such a car to me,I would not sell it till the snow in heck was too deep for studded tires.
