TRIUMPH TR3 FRANCORCHAMPS, one of a very few made, possibly the finest in the world,..bla bla bla bla............... bla.............................................. Actually the car is a spitfire and a total heap of dung, sorry for the incorrect listing, but I wanted to make my correction .........
............... way down here where you might not see it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

I sent this guy an email yesterday stating that this is not a TR3-B.

This was his reply:

THANK YOU, I WILL CORRECT, PHIL

I checked it this morning and totally missed his retraction. I must have looked at it 3 times and never saw it.

When I saw your post I still didn’t know what the heck you were talking about until I really took a close look.

Hardly a correction in my book. This guy is quite a piece of work.

BOXoROCKS was making a funny about a post from yesterday:

https://www.britishcarforum.com/ubbthread...mp;page=0#98254

Guy claimed to have a "RARE TR3B" with a TS7XXXX commission number.

I found that the shop was about 5 miles from my work and I checked it out.

It is definately NOT a TR3B.

So I emailed him and he hid a correction on his ebay auction in tiny type in the middle of the pictures where you would miss it unless you were really looking. Says he wants 4 grand for it which is not that outrageous.

The rub is just the completely false description of the car.

Now that everyone is up to speed... lets all wish me luck on getting MY TR3 running on saturday after parking it in my Grandma's garage in 1991 and forget about this goofball. ;-)

Thanks Jim, I like being goofy sometimes, which brings me to ask, would anybody like to see the 58 TR3 I painted with a roller? looks good from 20 ft. If I can figure it out I will post a pix.

I noticed his correction right away, and I don't think it was hidden. I am sure he appreciates, though, the fact that somone went to the time to enlighten him on this car, for which somone else gave him a false description.

I wish him luck.

Paul
