Does anyone know the official dates and colors of the Triumph Sports Owners Association Badge?
I found Black/Red was used from TR2 to TR3A, up to TS41878. Does this mean White/Blue from that serial number forward?
I have also seen these badges with the colors switched from left page to right page.
Should the badge on the badge bar match the hood badge??
This question just came up while we fiddle around waiting for spring!

Yes, the TSOA badge changed to blue and white about the same time as did the car badges, late 1958 or early 1959. I don't know what it means, if anything, but the November 1958 TSOA newsletter was the last with a red and black in the banner, yet the January 1959 issue printed the TSOA bylaws, which noted that the emblem was red and black! (Guess they hadn't had time to amend their bylaws? ;) )

Thanks Andrew. I purchased an unpainted TSOA badge on eBay, out of Britain.
It is a new production badge by J Fray and manufactured in England on the the original tooling.
It is marked on the reverse, "J Fray Ltd - BS004" and is stamped with the British Standard Kite Mark.
A little art work on my part should produce a nice quality grill badge.

Nice find on your part. I'd meant to try to provide a photo before of an original; now I can. Not much of a photo, but it does show how the colors were originally on the later blue/white badges. tsoa-badge.jpg
