Triumph Spare Parts Catalogue Tutorial Needed

Hello, listers, I thought I had the blue Spare Parts Catalogue (501653) figured out, but now I'm not so sure. I ordered from TRF part # 650044, Seal, door rear 13.5. When it came, it didn't look familiar, so I thought I'd look it up in the book. The numerical index on page ixiv (P66) states it's on page 93, which is really P258. I see 650044 listed there, under (h), but no corresponding diagram.
Is it because it's for a post 60000 car, and that's why it's not there? Can someone smarter than yours truly explain this to me; or where does 650044 go? Thanks!

Kevin, looks as if you've pretty much figured it out. Looking at an original SPC, 650044 is in column (h) and is indeed listed as "Rubber, door seal" [from comm. no. 60001, as per column (j)]; it is NOT illustrated, as far as I can tell. For what it's worth, it is p.93 in the original catalogue (referencing, where appropriate, "Plate AK"!

That's what I see also...post 60000. My catalogue shows it as AK16. If you turn back a page, you will see 65046 for the right hand side. The next page (258, 93) is just a continuation of AK16. That part (door seal) is actually shown on the plate. It's drawn in on the bottom of the door with "16" pointing to it. Also, notice that the door pictured is a TR2 "long door". They changed the shape of the bottom of the door in the post 60000 cars, so that would explain the change in the door seal. There's also a filler piece listed, part # 650045, that isn't shown for the pre 60000 cars. What is that, and where does it go?? During this resto, I'm changing the body shell and most of the panels (including the doors) to a post 60000. So, I guess I'm going to need that piece...whatever it is. Everytime I turn around, I find something different. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

Edit: I just looked at the TRF site, and that part is only 59 cents. I suppose I'll just buy them and see what they are. Of course, that's if TRF doesn't backorder them! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif
