I was watching "Sesame Street" (with our Granddaughter),
& noticed that on a "Bert & Ernie" sketch, that Ernie was
trying to read a book.On the cover was a Red TR6.
Also on CBS news a couple of nights ago, they did a story
on electic vehicles in LA.They showed a Red Spitfire.

There is a TR6 in the beginning of Austin Powers shown just briefly. I am watching the Enforcer (Clint Eastwood) and they just walked past an older Spitfire.

It's sad I watch old 70's shows in hopes of seeing Triumphs! Though my kids are getting good at spotting British cars in shows too.

Nothing sad about it! I watch TCM quite a bit and enjoy all the old cars. Not much worth watching on the current TV shows. When I'm not working on the car I'm usualy reading, or on the puter.
I s'pose some folks would say that I should get a life, but ya know I really, really enjoy the one I have!

Internet Movie Cars database is useful for finding films with various cars in them. Triumph yields 34 pages (though that also seems to include motorcycles)

In the first episode of the second season of the BBC "Life on Mars" there is a car chase with the Baddie in a green GT6+. This is a really cool show BTW. Its the story of policeman Sam Tyler who in 2006 has a car accident and is in a coma. While in the coma he is "transported" back to 1973, as a policeman! Very "twilight zone", but lots of cool old British cars in chases (mostly Cortinas on cross-plys howling around corners).

I recently bought the complete box set of the Rockford Files. I am loving the cars in the background!! I always wanted to be transported to 1960s or 70s California and now I can go there any evening!!

Didn't Bill Bixby drive a TR-6 on The Courtship of Eddie's Father? I also thought I saw one on a new HBO show about vampires. Can't recal the name of the program though.

There is a detective show on PPS and it's from England. One of the characters of the show drives a Stag. Of course if one can stay awake in those Brit shows you can see more cars. Also in a Elvis movie one of his girl friends drive a TR3.

TR7 in Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

I have started to watch the Rockford Files, lots of good cars in there, I have seen a few different LBC but it is almost as fun to see the new Gremlins and Pacers and such that pop in and out

The Bank Job is chock full of great Brit Iron \Good movie to boot!

Yes -- good movie and lots of old Brit cars. But not quite authentic - the cars are all too clean! No rusted, smoking, leaky old bangers which was I'm sure, mutch more the norm for the era.

That's Dennis Waterman in "New Tricks". No photos of the car on the show's web site: https://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/newtricks/ unfortunately....

Before that, back in the 1980s there was Beregrac with a detective (John Nettles as "Bergerac") that drove a Triumph 2000 (or 1800?) from the late 1940s:

Dang! I hope it was only a paper mache model!

I remember seeing a CHiPs episode recently and the same gold wedge kept showing up in a lot of scenes.

I, too, scan the background for LBC's whenever a '70s show is on.

One scientist :driving: slaughters another :savewave: by running him down  (after smoking the tires :nonono: ) with the Cybernetics Research Institutes' vehicle # 6; a beautiful :yesnod:, white  TR6  in an episode of Columbo :cowboy: from 1974. A MUST-SEE for all TR6 fans.
