I've decided to begin my quest to find a 1934-1937 Gloria 6 for sale in the US. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the Gloria Six was the high-horsepower high-end Triumph offered during the pre-war era. It used a 6-cyl 1500cc engine, the standard Gloria used a 4-cyl Coventry Climax...I believe the 6 was also a Coventry Climax-designed and made unit.
The Gloria 6 is also one of two Triumphs recognized by the Classic Car Club of America (of which I'm a member,) as a Full Classic, meaning that it can be shown and judged at concourses. The other Triumph was the Dolomite 8, which as I recall, there were only about 3 or 4 made.
So if anyone knows of any in the US, or EVEN JUST HAS PICTURES of Gloria 6 examples, let me know. There were saloon, tourer and sport styles. I would prefer an open body, but would consider a saloon.
These are pretty rare, but actually not that valuable. They're only about 40hp, so their drivability is on par with a MG TC.
