Quick note from a Starbucks in Mesquite, NV. Had a good drive down so far, with one bad section north of Cedar City--snow in the passes. Glad the truck is 4x4. We'll collect the Bugeye this afternoon, and hopefully make it back as far as Las Vegas. Snow in the desert, how odd. Onward we press...

Bon Voyage! Good to get "Reports from the Road!"

...imagine Lewis & Clark...

I love the innernet.

It is pouring here at the moment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif You made it further than I expected. Would be nice to cruise the strip in the bugeye? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
Cheers, David.

Wonderful, just wonderful. Looking forward to your safe return.

Been over those passes in snow driving an RV with an MGB on the trailer behind! Glad I could crank up the trailer brakes - 4 more wheels worth of brakes was helpful

Maybe he was able to adjust the brakes while he was sipping on his Starbucks coffee? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Drew, we are glad that you are making good progress and that you took the time to give us an update. That just goes to show how close knit this LBC community that Basil made has become. Proud to be a part of it. Keep her between the ditches friend.

Just got about 3" of hail about an hour ago. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif Hope that you missed it, Drew? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif
Cheers, David. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

We were loading the car during some of the rain/hail. Seen it all now. Made it to Barstow last night, stopped right before the snow hit this area. Poor little Bugeye looked cold under the car cover we put on for the night. Big push on home today, looks clear if a bit cold. I'll have some pictures to put up tomorrow.

Oh goodie.

We and the car are tired, dirty, frozen, and safely home. We had spots of nasty weather all the way back--snow, rain, cold--three cheers for a 4x4 Toyota Tundra! We got the car off the trailer safely and it is now snug in the garage, and we are cleaning up and going to sleep. I'll get some pictures posted tomorrow night, but here's one quick shot of the car in its new home, top off and thawing out.

Drew, that wouldn't be you sitting in the Bugeye with a grin so big that one can't tell where it ends, would it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Congrats! One day I'll have another one!

Tim
