Tri-carb help

I have tried all over the world for a part without success hence is any member able to supply dimensions/angles so I can manufacture an accelerator spindle (the bit that fits into the firewall and links to the throttle shaft. See Moss catalogue Item 60 on Tri-carb engine controls BN7,BT7 page.

If no one comes up with these dimensions before then, I'll shoot some pictures and make some measurements on mine this weekend.

Thankyou Guys. The required bit is not in any of the usual suppliers however I have sent them emails hoping they may have one stashed away.
Keith - Any pics/info will be very much appreciated.
Kind regards...Lyall

Lyall,
I have uploaded a few pictures here:
https://picasaweb.google.com/100928264363269111754/TricarbThrottleShaft

It's not an easy part to get pictures of while it's in the car, but I did my best. The overall length of the shaft is almost exactly 9 inches. The bit that turns up at the end furthest from the firewall is about 1.5 inches. As you can see, that part could be a little longer and not hurt much. The connecting rod that goes down to the accelerator shaft is about 6 inches long. That part you will probably want to find from the SU people because it has ball joints on the ends.

The hardest part, I think, will be the piece that attaches the shaft to that connecting rod. The angle between that and the bend at the other end has to be pretty close if everything is work right. Of course if the downward shaft was slightly longer or shorter than 6 inches, the angle would have to be different.

Hope this helps.

Lyall,

I have an original one that I cadmium plated with the rest of my nuts and bolts. Let me know if you're interested.

Keith,
Thanks for your efforts. Unfortunately I can't open the file. Don't believe I'm doing anything wrong?? I get the message "Sorry that page not found" although the tab acknowledges Picasso web album Keith Mott??

Duane,
Yes, very interested. How much would you be asking for it?

Thanks fellas

Lyall

Lyall,
you should be able to open it now. However, I would buy the one from Duane if the price is reasonable. Making one sounds tough!

Thanks Keith,
Pics are perfect. If I don't have any success with Duane I am sure I can manufacture one.
Once again thanks for your trouble.
Cheers Lyall
