Transponders

Being a newbe at the driver/owner end of vintage racing I'll probably have many questions but for now I'm planning to race at this months New Jersey VRG gathering and see that there will not be transponders for rent so I would be an un-timed entry. Anyone have good leads as to purchasing a transponder at something less than the Pegasus $350 price? Are these sometimes available used? I would rather put the $350+ toward more needed car items.

Thanks.

...I have one, just have to find it, will let you know and we can talk. I had it on my SP2000.

...Found it, I will try to call you or PM me.

Hi Jeff:

I don't have a spare transponder, but I'll be at NJMP / VRG event too.
Since I'm using my Spridget, we'll probably be in the same run-group.
Be sure you have seat belts that are new enough...it's an issue at NJMP.

I'll look for you (I'm in #909)....I'll be there Thurs afternoon.

~Here Is~ a video from my car last year at this event.

AIN'T GONNA MAKE NJMP! Brother in law's 63 Morris Cooper won't be out of the shop with the needed repairs to the front end and sub-frame after his rude meeting of the curb at the PVGP. With the amount of money he has had to spend keeping the Mini able to get on the track I'm glad I bought something much more simple to maintain although I wish I could join you folks at NJMP this weekend. Get some pictures/film and post it next week.
