A couple of days ago I saw a new member from West Virginia. I think he listed his occupation as restoring/rebuilding British cars. I did not make a note of his name or location at the time. I would like to communicate with him.

If anyone has this information I would appreciate the help.

Thanks, Pete

I don't have the information.

But you could try the "search" facility on the menu bar at the top (between active topics and FAQ) and key in "West Virginia" (or just Virginia, or VA, or...) and see what turns up.

I tried it and got a few things, but they may not be what you want....

I forgive you, because you are in Scotland, and shouldn't be expected to know.

But you would be surprised to know how many folks on this side of The Big Pond don't know that Virginia and West Virginia are two different states. Have been since June 20, 1863.

People thinking that they are the same state is a sore spot with us Mountaineers. I live in Maryland, but yearn for The Mountain State.

Perhaps he does know. Perhaps he also knows that typing "Virginia" into a search engine will pull up any thread that contains "Virginia," including the ones with "West" in front of it.

Could very well be the case! I should have thought of that.
