Transmissions Transmissions

Live in low country of South Carolina and recently my home was on the news, being filmed from a news helicopter, used a boat to reach my home for weeks. Bugeye is fine since it is only metal shell. I had two spare rib case Transmissions that got submerged, I turned them ever which way but loose and very little water drained out.

I feel they could be salvaged if done so soon, So FREE FREE FREE if you can pick up.
I have a home between Florence and Myrtle Beach SC, I also have a residence in Red Springs NC. Pick up either place, do not have time to ship, sorry.

I also have a 210 5 speed that had decided not to use and was going to ebay before flood. Now up to offers or suggestions. Fortunately core motor and trans. was in other house in NC.

This of course has knocked the wind out of my sails on a already stalled 6 year project. All my other parts were stored high and did not get wet.

If you want to talk to me about Transmissions email would be best since I don't check forums daily. my email usesmallletters@hotmail.com

Sorry to hear of that. We have friends not far from you that managed to stay dry but lost shingles and trees. I think if you could get the water out and fill with oil the trans would probably be fine. Too far away from me and I'm not needing them right now.

Yikes! Sorry to hear it, that's got to be a real kick to the motivation.

If you wouldn't mind checking on shipping costs, I'd be interested in the transmission. 402 Capri Cr. NW Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2L 1B2. I expect that it's too heavy for the USPS, which means one of the other folks. Which may mean not feasible for shipping, never mind providing a fair price to yourself. Thanks, Doug

And I sure didn't mean to sound less than sympathetic - our city and southeastern Alberta got hammered with flooding about 4 years back, and you probably saw some of the forest fire coverage from Fort Mac. We didn't directly suffer from the flooding as we're high and dry, but I think 75 000 people were evacuated when the rivers did their thing, so sympathetic to the incredible disruption and loss of homes and memories people get hit with when there's floods and fires and other disasters. Doug

I, too, have found Amtrak to be a very inexpensive way to ship (presuming each end is near a station).

I was interested in the Datsun 210 transmission; and Calgary is serviced by Greyhound. Thanks, Doug
