Will a T5 5 speed tranny fit in a Tiger tunnel ? Thanks, Bob

Yes it should be a bolt in.However the shifter of the T5 will not fit the original shifters position.I believe the tail from an AMC T5 is the way to overcome that.Check TE/TA site as i think it was discussed there.Ohterwise you will have to cut the floor brace and open to fit.A rectangular box shape will be needed to be welded in place to keep the integrity of the original design. Some have not done this saying it didn't need it but I strongly disagree.Seeing you have cut the whole it is so easy to do at that point so why not do it right.I have done the T5 to my Tiger but sold it.I have done 2 V8 conversions using T5s and never had a problem.
