Sorry guys - it's been a few years. What to I change my tranny fluid with;

20W 50 or 90W gear oil ?

I know the diff get's 90W. I'm 80% sure the tranny gets 20W50 - just double checking.

George - Put in the same oil as is in your engine.
 
For all A-series cars (948, 1098 and 1275) use motor oil.
10W-30 is good, but you could also use straight 30W.
20W-50 would probably be OK.

For all 1500 cars (with the later "Marina" trans) use typical 90W gear oil or similar (85W-140 is fine).
 
I thought 20W-50 was recommended for the engine? Sounds like your sayig 10W-30 is ok for the engine and the trans,
 
I run 20W50 in the engine -- will refresh the tranny with also. Thought that that was the way to go - just not 100%.

The "Book" shows a range of oils dependent upon expected ambient temperature, and shows that whatever you choose from the list for your engine is the same for the tranny.
 
I use the same oil as I have in the crankcase,in my case Valvoline VR-1 20-50 oil.
