trailing arm on tr6 stud repair

no idea, but, you probably want to repost this in the Triumph forum - this is just for greetings. Or perhaps a moderator could move it?

First welcome to the BCF!
The studs on the TR6 trailing arms are a known weak spot. I re-tapped mine to the next size but of course you need to keep the drill and tap at a 90 degree angle to get it right. Another option is to use a helicoil or a keensert.
I prefer the keensert (just my preference) https://www.repairengineering.com/keensert.html
Caution: don't drive the car if the studs are loose!
