Tragic day for me

My dear daughter-in-law died about 1:00 am this morning and I can't be there for my son. This is the same son who spent 3 weeks here last fall to help with his mother while I had that lung surgery. They moved to Florida a couple years ago and I have a semi-invalid wife so we can't travel. She has been in hospital for about a week while they try to stabilize her and figure out she has two leaking heart valves. Suddenly yesterday she got worse and didn't make it. It's just devastating news. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter. We loved her and will miss her terribly.

That is awful - and we're so sorry you're all going through this.

Can a good friend stay with your wife so you can make a quick trip to be with your son?

Time does not heal all wounds. But it lets you slowly adjust to the new situation.

That's just horrible! Deepest condolences.

Sorry to you and your family for your loss.

Oh my, I'm so very sorry to hear this. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. 🙏

Thank you, my friends, for the kind thoughts.

Bayless, I'm so sorry to hear this. Your family has my deepest condoloences.

So hard for you not to be there for your son. Very sorry for your and the family's loss.

Thank you Walt and Mickey. My daughter took charge of things here and arranged for herself all his kids to get to Florida within 15 hours from Oklahoma, Texas and Washington. So he has plenty of support. That is one dynamic girl. Gotta be proud of her.
