need a new trafficator shaft broke off inside the column its for a 3000 adjustable stearing head any help appreciated

Well it looks like you have two options to solve this problem.

1 you may be able to retrieve the piece inside the column using a strong telescopic magnet.

2 You can remove the bottom of the steering box and extract the piece inside the column that way.

Take your front wheel off. Undo your olive at the bottom of the steering column, get a piece of thin copper gas pipe such as would feed your gas fire in the lounge or at a pinch a thin clear poly pipe and shove it up the steering column from the bottom, That is how I got my broken tube out, The gas pipe will bend easily and can be manouvered up the column. An alternative untried idea would be to bind together the electrical wires and try and use them to pull up the tube as you withdraw the control head.

Best of luck
