HAs anyone goe to see this TR8? I spoke to teh guy and he said he bought it 5 or 6 years ago and it broke down on the way home and he parked it at a garage and it has sat there since. Sounds like it had no oil pressure the way he described the way it sounded so I am guessing he locked it up. I am going to go look at it and maybe get a ed project for the winter but a little advise to see what it looked like woudl be appreciated. Thanks

There were guys talking about one on the TR8 webring. General consensis is that it was dissasembled, sitting outside on dirt, in poor shape, and barely worth $800 as a parts car. I don't know if it's the same car or not. As a parts car- bell housing $250, flywheel $175, subframe $300, motor mount brackets $75, power steering rack core $250. Other unique items V8 tach, driveshaft, brake booster, 3.08 rear end, TR8 front brakes, VIN, twin outlet gas tank, radiator shell/bracket, TR8 shifter quadrant, and alt bracket. Although the motor isn't worth much, the oil pan and timing cover are getting real hard to come by.

that sucks, according to the guy, it has been in the garage for 5 years....

and by the way, what is the link to that tr8 Webring, I thought I knew them all

Re: TR8 in Pittsbgh on Craigslist, anyone looked a

I like to head up to the Allegheny mountains to do some cruising but if you have some fun roads down there let me know, I venture to Washington county occasionally but have never went out driving around.

The webring sends out emails to list members. You post, it goes out as an email. Some guys get them individualy. I get them bunched together once a day. They come at 2 am in the morning. I like to read them in the morning with my coffee. I think this is the link you go to to sign up.

um.... that link just opens up out look so I can email some one, please try again.

I am going to go look at the 8 on Saturday, I am looking at a TR7 DHC in ohio to do a drive train swap with but the 8 woudl give me lots more parts to play with, an engine harness, and parts to sell if the body is in decent shape. Sounds like this guy may be less than truthful if all the reports I have gotten are true.
