Hello,

I finally spent the money to get the Holley Eldelbrok carb kit for my TR8, Here is my problem. My mechanic just called me, and had 2 concerns. 1 the air intake is rubbing against the hood of the car! 2. What is the best way to plug the EGR? Thanks!

The best way to plug the EGR valve is don't. You will get into preignition and could burn a hole in a piston. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So, leave the hole wide open in the engine compartment? My mechanic was going to try to find a cap for it?

Let me rephrase that. Do not disable an EGR valve. If it didn't come with one, thats a different story. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What he did was put on plug on top of it to keep the fumes out I guess. I got the car back today, and it is driving great! Still wish I had a little more room between the hood and the air filter. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Does your air filter have a 'drop' base. If not most American V8 speed shops like Jegs or Summit carry them.
