Anybody know where I can purchase a new TR8 Gear Shift Knob? I tried Victoria British, and the one they have only fits the 1981 TR8, not the 1980 apparently they have different size poles?

Thanks,

Rod

Really? My TR8 seemed to have the identical knob as my TR7 (both 1980 cars.)

I bought the wood walnut grain with the Triumph book of knowledge on it from Vickies and it fit no trouble.

the one on my '80 tr8 parts car is the same as the one on my '81 TR7 DHC?!

I hear ya, I ordered one from Vic's and if you have a catalog, you will see it listed as only for the 81' TR8. I ordered it any way, and sure enough, it did not fit!

Thanks!

Rod

That is puzzling, the 5 speed did not change at all during it production run. I will have to to email Ted and see what he says. Ted is smart on the little things like that

That would be great, I would like to order a new one, as mine is looking pretty worn. Also, any suggestions on where I can get the Glove box straps? I have 1 intact, and 1 broken I would like to replace.

Thanks!

Those straps are probably the hardest things to find. I took the two good ones from the 4 I had. Most replacements I see simply take Rubber strips with holes on the end and strap them in.
