Wedge tr8 edelbrock throttle linkage

Just completed my conversion from the twins and I'm a little stuck with attaching the throttle cable wire to the carburetor. I installed the Edelbrock carb with an Edelbrock intake. As of now, I have a stud with a hole through it(Edelrock product 8009) mounted to the carb and I'm running the wire through it with a wire stop at the other end....I don't like this set up, looks a little cheap and could possible cut the cable over time.
What did you guys do? Any pictures?
Thanks

Lokar makes some great throttle cables in the $25 to $40 range. You can also just but the pivot piece that mounts to the throttle shaft on the carb. I usually just get the swivel cable mount for the carb that has the barrel type cable retainer, and then shorten and reuse the stock cable. It's important that the part that mounts to the carb is able to swivel or you will not get full throttle and the cable will fatigue and fail. Most likely you will have to modify what ever parts you get.

Thanks
I'll get a new cable if I have to....it's the little things.
Ready to get it back on the road and see how she does.
