Wedge TR8 door seals

My existing TR8 door seals (DHC) are way too fat (kind of like me at this point).

I just saw what MacGregor wants for a set, and after I caught my breath I thought I asked for opinions before I ordered a set.

If they are the only way to go then so be it, but holy cow...

Dunno about a TR8, but the Stag seals I got from him were absolutely perfect. I plan to order another set for the other one, this time in tan.

What do you mean they are too fat? Are they aftermarket door seals? It shouldn't be too hard to find good used ones for short money. You could even cut down a set of coupe seals. I have several sets of them hanging up in my garage now. Stuff like that is usually still good on parts cars.

Hi Todd - good t hear from you. Yes, the aftermarket seals on there are way too fat and are preventing the door from closing properly.

It never occurred to me to see if the door seals from the TR7 FHC parts car would fit. I'll have to give that a go. Good idea!

Is that why my DHC 's doors don't close right???
