Wedge TR7 Windshield

I've decided to have a window guy remove and reseal the windshield on my '76 FHC. Does the chrome finishing come off with the windshield or before? The previous owner had siliconed the chrome to the car to try and seal the leak (it sort of worked for about a year). Just trying to figure out if I need to get the chrome off before the window guy does his magic.

Crome(might be stainless) comes out first. It is set into the windshield adhesive, so it takes a good fight to get it out. Best way to remove the windshield is with a wire and two people. Start the wire at the bottom corner and use it as a saw all the way around the windshield.
