Wedge TR7 Spider [?] on PDX Craigs List

YEs, they were black with red striping and other decals. They aslo had grey interiors. Another strike against that one. Biggest strike against it is Spider Man on the bonnet and the logo with it.

I like his use of the words... 'Hard to Find' and 'Very Rare'. Would have to check the VIN for true TR7 Spider lineage to be verified. But the wrong exterior and interior colors and lack of proper TR7 Spider decals could really hurt the value even if it is a real TR7 Spider.

Maybe it's a typo, and supposed to be $1500.

Could it be there is a need to pay for that Spiderman paint job and Mr PT Barnum's next customer is who he is hoping for?

Let's count the strikes...

1. Not black
2. No red stripes or decals
3. No gray interior
4. Built in 1979

Can't see if it has the alloys and the right steering wheel. Would love to see the VIN and see if it's a Canley or Solihull car.

I know that Sports car Shop in Eugene sold a really nice one that everything was proper for $14000 or so to a guy in Washougal, it had been restored, proper numbers etc.

I called the number as my wife likes these wedges and we are kinda looking.
Had to go through a automated screener and leave a message.
We will see.

Mark- Headed to the dark side are you?
When the weather is nice and I'm not working I'll cruise over in mine.

Ouch -- he's getting a little touchy about the emails (or maybe not).

At least there is a hint of a sense of humor about it (or is there?).

Wow... Just read his updated listing, and he he finally realised what he has (or maybe he doesn't). I actually thought about sending him an email just to clear up a few of his misconceptions (or maybe not) and fill in some of his knowledge gaps (maybe can't be done).

1. The car was originally a California car since the only 1980 TR7s that were fuel injected were Californa cars (maybe not). There certainly were more than 200-300 of them (or not).

2. Fuel injected TR7s aren't that rare (maybe they are). Real spiders with fuel injection might (or might not) be, since only 1200 (plus or minus a few) were made, and not all of them were injected.

3. I might not be in the "northwest" but I could send him a picture of that a REAL fuel injected Spider looks like.

4. The "non-perfection" A/C system is a Yorx, not a Lucas (Lucas is the prince of darkness, not the king of heat).

5. $15,000 may not be Blue Book, but will buy you between 3-5 really nice TR7s, or a couple TR8s (if you look hard enough).

I have a FI engine block I'll give to anyone who wants it. It's only the block and head. so it doesn't have the injection system, but the head must be worth say, $2-3K? don't you think? Only problem is that I was never able to remove the head from the block and I gave up.
