Wedge tr7 spark plugs

I need some advice on the "correct" spark plugs for a 1980 TR7. The manual says champion n12y, Vicoria british says BOSCH super w8dc and my car came with NGK bp5es. The champions were just installed, and the car started better with the old NGK'S. Are these "HOTTER" plugs or something? I apreciate the help!

Are you sure you have the gap set correctly on the new plugs? The heat rating of the plug has no effect on starting.

My -7 has the Bosch plugs and runs and starts fine.
